Music Monday I

14 Jul 2014
Music is a huge part of my life, I listen to it daily, I write it, I record it. And since I always love recommendations, I thought why not start this little segment, where I share the music I've loved recently with you and you can tell me of the music you've loved recently, deal?

1. Joshua Radin - The Greenest Grass
I've been a fan of his for years, but I don't really keep up to date with his new songs. But do you know the feeling when you hear the first sentence of a song and you just know you'll love it? This was definitely the case and it made me once again think: "I wish I lived inside a Joshua Radin song!"

Out Of This Slump - OOTD

11 Jul 2014

Hello lovelies! So I haven't slept for even a second tonight and the bags under my eyes seem more like suitcases, but I just wanted to show you what I wore today. It's been raining without an end for the last week or so and the temperature has dropped a lot, so I can get away with wearing leggings under the dress. I bought this dress two years ago in Camden Market when I was visiting my family in London and I've worn it so much since then, I really love it. I stole the shirt from my grandma also quite some time ago, so I can get away with calling this look vintage... kinda. To top it off I wore my patent boots. Hope the wheather is nicer for you! See you very soon <3

Summer Sale Haul

8 Jul 2014
... or how I spent only 50€ on all of this stuff and ended up buying lots of black clothes. And that's how you know what I feel about summer. :P

So let's begin:

H&M

This is actually the only non-sale item, but I just loved how airy it was. Flower prints are always good, too. 12.99 €

I adore the material of this one and I am a huge fan of lace. I think this would look best with high wasted things. 5€

Okay so this might not be the most form-fitting one and it's a bit too big on me, but the lace on the back sealed the deal for me. 5€

This one just looks so elegant and classy, though I might have to add a belt at the waist to make it fit a bit better. Anyways, I loved it! 5€

Aren't those tiny flowers just the cutest? This dress somehow reminds me of the fifties and it has this innocent but still very lady-like feeling. And white for once, how??? 7€

Zara

I always love to go to Zara's TRF section for printed tees, and gosh did I fall in love with this one. It's a cover of LIFE magazine from 1957 and it doesn't feel too pretentious like a lot of printed tees these days. 7.99€

Okay so this one might be a little more pretentious but I liked the simplicity and the fit of it so much. Also the price was almost a joke. 3.99€

Pimkie

This is really not a summer item, but I searched all winter for a cardigan like this and I remember even trying this on and falling in love with it, but I just didn't have the money back then. I am so in love with it, it's absolutely gorgeous! 5€

So just to explain the blackness of it all a bit more, this is what I see when I look out of the window, in July:

Come on wheather, get your act together.

On a completely different note I am so incredibly anxious about tomorrow, it's crazy. I have to go to a test and an interview which decides if I'll go to uni next year or not. So I'm kinda freaking out a little. Okay I'm freaking out a lot... Whish me luck?

Which one was your favourite item? Anyone getting the monochrome vibe too these days?

Movies I've Seen In June (What An Interesting Title)

So yep, basically what the title says.

I'm an avid movie lover. I'll watch anything that I can get my hands on. This year only, I've seen 65 movies, which is too much but still not enough.

Though what sense does watching movies actually make, if you don't think a bit about them afterwards entertainment, jill, that's the whole reason there are even movies oh what a perfect coincidence that I have this blog. So let's begin (they're in the order i watched them, i tried to keep it very spoiler light!)

Liberal Arts (2012)
Why: I mean Josh Radnor wrote, directed and starred in this movie. Also Josh Radnor with a little scruff.
What: A 30-something year old man is having a midlife crisis, acts like a 3-year old, falls in love with a teenager, confuses several college students around him and meets zac efron in a wool cap.
How: Very nice cinematography, lots of heart and I honestly think Josh Radnor has found his post-HIMYM calling. I mean it's a bit wonky at bits, but it's very easy to relate to the characters. It's grounded and has a logical ending and my IMDB rating was 8/10 (though i am very generous with my ratings).
Recommend? Yes! It's not life-changing or anything, but it's cute and it has zac efron in a wool cap okay
